The Rotary Club of Toowoomba became the eighth Rotary club to be chartered in Queensland. This was Rotary’s Silver Anniversary Year.

RC Toowoomba Charter

Brisbane Rotarians conducted the proceedings, with Les South in the chair. Peter McGregor, President of the Brisbane club presented the Charter on behalf of District Governor, Bob Hancock. Ipswich Rotartians, led by President Jim Bishop, presented the new Toowoomba Club with a silver gong.

Charter President was Alderman Frank Paterson, Mayor of Toowoomba 1930-33.
