In April 1952 the Club Board discussed the proposition that the club engage in a project to beautify a portion of the city. After a discussion between President Arnold Lavers and the Mayor, it was decided to make Rotary Park near the top of the Range road.

Rotary Park was handed over to Mayor, Alderman M.J.R. Anderson on Saturday, November 29 1952.

In May of 1972 the club commenced the erection of the wall at Rotary Park and completed this project before the end of the Rotary year.

Rotary Park still welcomes everyone to Toowoomba, as they drive up the Range all these decades later.
