A unique all-girl Interact Club was chartered at Fairholme College, with an inaugural membership of 25.
The new Rotaract Club raised $475 during the year. This was used in the purchase of toys at Christmas, playground equipment at Hamwith, assistance with education of South-east Asian children, and provision of bursaries at a local high school.
Seventy paintings and drawings by children of the Tsuruga City School of Japan were sent for exhibition in Toowoomba schools in 1968.
